NewsGirls Incorporated of New Hampshire’s Concord Girls just being NeighborlyConcord, NH – July 13, 2007 – As a neighborly gesture, the girls at the Concord Girls’ Center of Girls Incorporated of New Hampshire who are attending the summer day camp, will wash cars for the Concord Police Department on Tuesday morning, July 17. The girls will then serve the police officers at an ice cream social after their car washing duties are complete. The Concord Girls’ Center is located in the Green Street Community Center, right next door to the Concord Police Department. “We are always looking for volunteer opportunities for our girls. By finding volunteer opportunities for them, we help teach them how to give back to their community. Hopefully, they will continue volunteering well after their days with us at Girls Inc. of New Hampshire because of these kinds of experiences. This will be a great summer activity for cooling off in the hot weather, while at the same time giving the girls an opportunity to interact with the police officers and we hope it will be a fun event for everyone.” said Karen Billings, Capital Region Director for Girls Incorporated of New Hampshire. |
