STEM Program Coordinator

OVERVIEW: The goal of the STEM Program Coordinator position is to encourage girls to stay in the STEM pipeline and increase their awareness of STEM careers by providing programming and building partnerships with STEM professionals and organizations. The STEM Program Coordinator will oversee STEM programming for both Nashua & Manchester locations which includes delivering informal educational STEM programming, drop-in activities, special events, field trips and exposure to women STEM professionals. The STEM Coordinator will also oversee our LEGO League teams in both locations and recruit volunteer coaches.

HOURS: Monday-Friday 11:00am-6:00pm; 2 days at each center (Manchester & Nashua) alternating Fridays/or outreach location (NH school) on Mondays


  • Plan, deliver and evaluate hands-on, minds on STEM programs to members.
  • Plan, and promote STEM by hosting special events, and through partnerships with STEM organizations.
  • Maintain STEM labs at each center including LEGO robots and 3D printers.
  • Coordinate the delivery STEM programming in community outreach agencies.
  • Coordinate and chaperone STEM field trips.
  • Complete all record keeping and reporting requirements as requested.
  • Assist with program evaluation and reporting to program funders as requested.
  • Ensure that program space is clean, and neat and all equipment and supplies are labeled and organized.
  • Initiate, maintain and support STEM partnerships with individuals and organizations.
  • Assist with grant writing and reporting for STEM programming as requested.
  • Represent Girls Inc. of NH in the STEM community and local groups as directed.
  • Drive Girls Inc. vehicle for after school pick up at local schools
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • BA/BS in a STEM field is strongly preferred, however relevant experience is highly valued.
  • Experience working with youth, preferably girls in an informal educational and/or recreational setting.
  • Experience in designing and implementing innovative, hands-on activities with girls.
  • Ability to identify and pursue new partnerships.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent computer and internet skills.
  • Grant and/or report writing experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people of different races, ethnicities, ages, abilities, and experiences.
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong computer skills: Internet, Microsoft Office, Google SuiteTech savvy- coding experience, LEGO League, 3D Printing, and other STEM engaging leagues/activities a PLUS!
  • Valid NH driver’s license and clean driving record

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
