October 19, 2017 – Manchester, NH: The Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire honored Girls Inc. of New Hampshire with the New Hampshire Advantage Award at their 104th Annual Dinner. This award honors businesses, organizations or projects that enhance New Hampshire’s special character and quality of life in meaningful ways.
Cathy Duffy Cullity, CEO of Girls Inc. of New Hampshire, accepted the award on the organization’s behalf and spoke about the Girls Inc. experience. “Everyday girls walk through the doors of one of our 3 centers and into the Girls Inc. experience where you will hear the sound of a 6 year old reading her first book or the cheers of our young runners as they cross the finish line of our 5K, witness the joy of the young girl who models the dress that she made herself in our fashion design class, get in line at the dinner club and taste the nutritious meals the girls created in our cooking classes. Look closer and you will see professional women mentoring our girls and you will hear girls discussing career day and dreaming about what they want to become”.
