Girls Inc. of New Hampshire is the recipient of a $1,000 donation from the NH Volleyball Gatorade Player of the year, Caleigh O’Connell. With the honor of being chosen as the Gatorade Player of the Year, Caleigh had the ability to “Play it Forward,” by donating to local or national youth organization of her choosing. The donation will be designated to Girls Inc. athletics program in Manchester.

When asked why she chose Girls Inc., rising Bedford senior Caleigh O’Connell stated, “I love everything Girls Inc. does to help girls live their best life – and that includes athletics. I know the $1,000 will benefit the Manchester center athletic program and I’m even going to volunteer there over the summer!”

Girls Inc. NH CEO, Sharron McCarthy, an avid fan of Bedford High School Women’s Volleyball and Basketball is delighted with Caleigh’s choice, “Caleigh is the ideal example of what girls can achieve. She embodies our Strong, Smart and Bold mission. She’s a talented, hardworking athlete with a 4.3 GPA and she’s so excited to work with our girls this summer. We are honored that she chose to donate her $1,000 check to Girls Inc. NH.”
